Greeting from the Netherlands.
I believe the Lord wants to deal with our un-confess sins over the Easter period. This is tough! However, it is a worthy action as it will open up our heart to the heart of Christ and facilitates the awesome glory of God into our lives. Historical experience has also indicated that there is no revival in a church or community without repentance. The intensity of revival is directly proportionate to the depth of our repentance.
We all wanted to live a life that God is fully involved in order that our family and we will enjoy an abundance life – Children, financial, career, marriage, etc. There are so many friends who are exactly enjoying such a wonderful relationship with the Almighty God and are blessed by God grace. This might sound too good to be true in your situation. But it’s a fact that God turns things around for us. So I would earnestly encourage you to work through this article and have the courage to face our own sins & demons.
Now let begins by acknowledging that most of us know deep inside our heart of un-confessed sins. However, we choose to continue to live such life as if nothing is wrong. This can be a tragic situation in longer term. Christ has promised us a victorious life but we have decided to hide them knowing that it is eating us up.
Dietrich Bonhoeffer, the German pastor who wrote, “Sin demands to have a man by himself. It withdraws him from the community. The more isolated a person is, the more destructive will be the power of sin over him, and the more disastrous is this isolation. Sin wants to remain unknown. It shuns the light. In the darkness of unexpressed it poisons the whole being of a person”. Sins inhibited us from realizing our spiritual potential.
Psalm 66:18 stated that, “If I regard wickedness (un-confessed sin) in my heart, the Lord will not hear”. Prayer prevents us from sin, and sin prevents us from prayer. There is a saying: “It is just a matter of time the debtor will collect the debt (our sin)”. It could be very painful to wait until such time. So act now.
Jeremiah 31:34 stated that, “For I will forgive their wickedness (UN-confess sin) and will remember their sins no more”. This week, our prayer will focus on dealing with ourselves: Our personal wrong doing, our sins and our masquerade:
Confession has wonderful benefits. It clears the air with God and allows you to communicate with Him without encumbrances. Jesus Christ has set me free.
Both Gren & myself are available to assist you and to work out the above situation. It’s just a phone call away and we are here to serve you.
God blessings are awaiting you.
